This Saturday evening my husband took our daughter and me to the Wilson County Fair.
We have been hearing all week how great this fair is…so we traveled east to see if this fair was really the best in middle tn and I have to say I was more impressed with the Wilson County fair than our own fair here in Nashville.
They had everything! Tractor pull, pig races, monkey jockey races, get your picture taken with a monkey, petting zoo, pony rides, roller coasters, crazy get sick rides, ferris wheel, fire works, mules, civil war camp, old time villages, vendors galore, animals galore, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, cows and on and on and on.
oh…and camels too!
And we had a perfect backdrop for this perfect country fair…a beautiful sunset accompanied with beautiful 80 degree weather.
We ate hand dipped corn-dogs, bucket O’ fries, and of course….FUNNEL CAKE!
We found out just how popular this fair is after driving 40 minutes outside of Nashville to sit in line for over an hour trying to park. We finally gave up and parked at a school and walked the last mile into the fair. But it was a fun night with my husband and daughter that I hope to always remember.
