I finished designing my new business cards this week and sent them off to the printer’s!
I am very excited and happy with the new design I came up with. And I hope to get more of my handmades and artwork listed in the near future on my etsy shop evepeachart.etsy.com.
I also have my handmade journals, vintage style aprons, and nature prints at Laurel Leaf Gallery in Leipers Fork. Leipers Fork is quite the charming little country town with a strong artist community. I encourage all to take a scenic ride on Natchez Trace Parkway and visit all the galleries in Leipers Fork. While you are there stop in and have a healthy organic lunch at Joe Natural’s Cafe where they serve locally grown food and provide organic groceries for purchase too.

We have moved our little garden from right outside our back door to the large field in the back of our property making this years garden a bit bigger. This also created more work but I love it. My happy place is found outside with my hands in the dirt. Here are a few photos I have taken to document our 2010 garden. Our garden also makes a great hands on learning tool for our preschooler Hannah. She loves to wear her dresses and scoop up the fresh handpicked veggies in the bottom of her dress to carry to the kitchen while she sings Snow White songs along the way. Priceless!

On this hot Saturday afternoon in June my family and I drove across town to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens and Museum of Art to check out the newest outdoor sculptures by glass maker and installation artist Dale Chihuly. Dale Chihuly has taken the art of glassblowing to a higher level by pulling teams of master glassblowers to create large scale outdoor and indoor vibrantly colored installations. His work sets beautifully amongst the botanical gardens found at Cheekwood. It was a wonderful way to spend a sunny day outdoors in nature. This exhibit is also open on Thursday and Friday nights where his installations are transformed by light. Might have to go back for that experience!
